Elmhurst signs Severn Trent Laboratories to long-term lease
Pittsburgh, PA - The Elmhurst Group has signed Severn Trent Laboratories, Inc. (STL) to a long-term lease at RIDC Park in O'Hara Township. STL will move from their current facility in U-Park to Elmhurst's 34,000 sq.ft. building located at 301 Alpha Drive. Approximately $2.4 million will be invested in the building to provide office and laboratory space for STL's 70 Pittsburgh employees where it will analyze samples from all over the world.
Rusty Vicinie, Laboratory Director for STL Pittsburgh, stated "'We have made a strategic decision to develop our laboratory business in Pittsburgh and it was important that we could find a location that would allow us to meet our current and future needs. We have assembled an exceptional staff from the area as well as built solid relationships with local customers and vendors. This represents STL's continuing commitment to the Pittsburgh region supporting a variety of clients in the Department of Defense and various commercial sectors including brownsfields redevelopment, sediment, waste management and regulatory compliance."

Turner Construction is the General Contractor for the project and the Architect is Design 3. STL will take possession of their new facility on April 1, 2005.
