Elmhurst Poised to Begin New Airport-Area Development

Bill Hunt, President of The Elmhurst Group, Joined Allegheny County Chief Executive James C. Roddey and other business leaders and officials to break ground on Elmhurst's newest development, McClaren Woods.

Elmhurst, with assistance from Allegheny County and the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development (click here for press release) is beginning earthmoving activities on the 70 acre Business Park, which will ultimately contain nearly 300,000 SF of flex office/warehouse and manufacturing space.

Lewis-Goetz and Co., Inc., a Pittsburgh-based industrial supplier, will be the first tenant. The company plans to move into a 63,000-square foot facility in January.

Elmhurst, the developer of the Airside Business Park in Moon Township, currently has 21 local properties totaling more than 1.6 million square feet of office, warehouse and retail space. Elmhurst also employs more than 200 people.
